:iconredqueenxxx: with Tonight We Will Rise...The moon was a full circle that glowed a burning orange. Tonight was a night that, while beautiful, had a feeling that was just slightly off. Most people had gotten home as quickly as possible because of this, and thus, it was a night for something unnatural.
Aurelia sat despondently on her tombstone, thinking vaguely about how the others were late, and how they couldn't do this with just one person. She sighed, looked to the left and jumped.
The ...thing that was standing, or pooling next to her was made, she thought, out of a slick, shiny, black liquid that had the same consistency as oil or mud; and was probably the last person she ever wanted to be alone with.
"Hello, Little Orchid," She cringed at his voice, it was a soft echoing purr with something that sounded like piercing feedback underlying it.

:iconburnedsins: with Love you to Death .I stare closely, watch this cracked glass
Afraid to touch it, for I would switch back to what I used to be
A shadow flying unconsciously in a faint scent of roses.
Let me scream to you, grab my hand and connect our worlds,
This abandoned universe held by rotten strings takes me away..
The face I see, a growing eclipse of what we used to be

Release me, I can hear you, a gentle existence
A powerful groan against the glass and I'm yours,
Come near me, so I will be free now,
Frozen in time, slowly eating me alive.

:trophy: Third place

Moonlight bathed the war torn and agony laden land, but no salvation came; their eyes turned to the ashes, but nothing moved. The fragments of hope shattered when the promised reinforcements did not come. The loyal, or perhaps just the most desperate, held fast to their hope as the time of battle drew nearer. But even when the moon rose higher in the sky, no allies came pouring over the hills and the ashes still did not stir.
They all knew before the start of the war that hope was a fragile thing; it could so easily be burned into nothing. Hope and despair always danced hand in hand, divided only be the thinnest of threads. The forlorn agony of the innocents and the soldiers only sank farther away from those lost fragments of hope when the pounding steps of the enemy's reached their ears. Even the injured did their best to sta
